Hard to say. I’ve seen many dogs start off exactly like that and then instantly escalate to attacking. I think it looks harmless but is really some kind of dominance test and the wrong reaction can trigger them.

I have a male German shepherd that weighs 105 lbs, he's a giant that is easily over 5' tall when he stands up on his back legs.

He's also the biggest chicken when it comes to other dogs and anything else generally speaking, despite the fact that we got him to be a "watchdog"

He's such a giant puss that he has to be put in with the toy dog breeds when he goes to doggie daycare. It's literally him towering over about 20 Chihuahuas, Pomeranians, and dachshunds when you watch them on their online cameras


Anyway, this lady was a total inconsiderate POS. If your dog is being an a-hole in ANY situation and making other people uncomfortable, it's on you to do something about it.

I have been bringing my 3 dogs, red heeler and 2 lab mixes, to the dog park in our subdivision south of Conroe, TX for 6 years now. Granted, we have a group that goes there every day around 4 to 6 pm. It is such a well-behaved group, we have 2 little shi tzu's that play with the big dogs.

That being said, if you do not know the dogs, bringing a big one, especially a male that still has his balls, into the small side is absolutely stupid.

Nice dog parks don't allow pit bulls or bully breeds.
That woman is a POS for arguing like that.

While she shouldn't have brought that dog into the little dog park, I didn't see the dog actually attack any other dog. Just some poodle being held by the owner squeeked when the dog jumped up to sniff it. If it was attacking it would have grabbed on or snarled at least. Sometimes those toy dog owners can be incredibly overprotective.

I’m sure some over-dramatization was happening, but clearly the filming started AFTER at least some of the behavior occurred. From what I could tell from the video, I’m sure the dog was a decently behaved dog. But there is a very good reason that dog parks are separated by size. Even if the big dog means no harm, smaller breeds can get defensive and snap, which obviously leads to bad things.

Also, I’m guessing that dude didn’t “kick her dog” just for being big. I suspect it was at the very least getting pretty rough in its play if not crossing the line into an aggressive incident for someone to kick him. Never know for sure but for message board spit balling probably fair to say.
