I got this text last week. I ignored it because I’ve taken enough security trainings to know that it’s BS. But I can see how elderly people could fall for this. Scammers are straight scum.

It has all the telltale signs… urgency, grammar mistakes, threats, unsolicited, bogus link AND I haven’t received a citation in over 15 years.

3. Suspend driving privileges for 30 days
4. Transfer to a toll booth and charge a 35% service fee

Mr. Danny Mixon (RIP), the investigator that was credited with breaking the case, was a customer at the business I worked for at the time.
