Biden has fricked the economy so bad that casinos can’t even afford to pay out slots. Damn.

I want a jury of my peers. The dumbest ones I can get. Ain’t nobody siding with the house.

Your brain can release up to 4 times as much dopamine for random rewards compared to predictable.

That’s how they get people addicted to slot machines even though the odds are in house favor.

It’s actually quite sad. I’m libertarian enough to want people to be allowed to do what they want, but I cringe at casinos.

The Wheel of Fortune slot machines are made by IGT. They are like the Kia of slot machines.

Some people may remember two men sued IGT and NOLA Harrah's maybe 20 years ago for the same issue and won over $1 million at trial because Harrah's and IGT couldn't prove to the jury that a malfunction occurred.

Fun fact on slot machines, some of them are not owned by the casino. The manufacturers own the slot machines and are responsible for the jackpot payouts. The casino just acts as intermediary by collecting the cash and paying out the TITO’s. For a large jackpot, if you read the game rules are paid as an annuity over 20 years.

Pay the lady but too late. The bad press will ultimately cost them more than 1.2 million in lost business. Idiots

From my limited experience, reel tilt situations are pretty obvious. Any security camera with a view of the machine should prove or disprove this.

I lost at the slots. I say it was a glitch and they should still pay.

If your ford has a factory malfunction and wrecks into a house, the house is made whole and insurance goes after Ford.

Sounds like the casino needs to take up their 1.2m loss with the slot manufacturer

It was nice to see the lady in the report wasn’t any stereo type you see playing slots at a casino…..I mean the only thing missing was a drink and a cigarette in her hand.

I'm pretty sure most of the payouts are planned and they can just look at the data from the machine. Gaming laws in most states are based around certain defined winning rates, so anything above that is void due to violating the law. This is how they always can get money back if they suspect some type of cheating/grift at card games, too.

You can read the court ruling from the Phil Ivey NJ case to see how all of that works together.

I worked on those IGT slot machines for 24 years. The attendant opened the door to clear the tilt. Sometimes those reels get loose and will cause a tilt like that and stop spinning. If the reel cages are old enough it may have been cracked. Unfortunately it sounds like it stopped spinning and the jackpot combo appeared in the window.

If a machine breaks or there is an error resulting in someone winning, the casino should have to pay up.

You don't "win" if the game malfunctions. They're machines. Just like all other machines. They break

Like others are saying they're playing both sides of this. No way in hell the only time a slot machine "breaks" is when someone wins lol for all we know they're broken 99% of the time but in their favor

If it were an Indian casino, they would have had to sue in tribal court. That happened to a person in Louisiana a few years ago. They tried to sue in federal court, but the feds said no jurisdiction. No wampum for you.

Yeah, I know from experience that you don't want to frick with tribal police

And how many times do they “break” when someone loses?

It only seems to “break” when someone wins.

This should be a risk for the casino.

Casino’s use psychology to bilk people…In other news, when a girl midget has your crank in her hands it looks bigger.
