One thing about the north of the lake is the hornets are freaking ridiculous. They're ubiquitous, belligerent as frick, and colossal. NOLA has its share nasty-arse bugs, but wasp in Mandeville/Covington are a serious pain in the arse.

Your list from Niche is a clown show. This list tells me Mandeville is better than Dutchtown and Northshore High(for that other guy), though it's probably not very significant

An ACT score ranking from 2017?

Cherry picker. Both of the schools are good. But mfers actin like Mandeville/Madisonville is some Zen Utopia are dummies.

This list seems to only have the best public schools. What about the well rounded private schools such as Northlake Christian, St. Paul,s, Christ Episcopal on the northshore?

Does St. George want to be Mandeville?

The whole north shore area seems lame AF to me, then again the entire EBR parish area is lame AF.

Why are you eschewing the biggest benefit to living there
Because it's still public school. The best part of living here is the safety and quiet.

It was the most recent I could find on my phone. Has it changed, it's only 2019.

Nobody is acting like it's the Hamptons. They're acting like it's the best place to live in Louisiana. One of the few areas that mimics good suburbs in other, more prosperous states.

Only issue is that there is no lake separating St. George and Baton Rouge like there is for the Northshore and Nawlins

You just explained why Covington/Mandeville is desireable. nothing will prevent the "people" and more importantly their "cousins" from coming over....no natural barriers

That being said, ultimately one day they will out flank via Slidell where it's starting to happen

No one considers those big lake houses as part of Slidell, except the postal service

I’ve literally never in my life heard someone say that Oak Harbor/Lakeshore Estates are not part of Slidell. New Orleans East ends below the lake and the Rigolets. Oak Harbor and Lakeshore Estates are considered to be part of Slidell by the post office because they are part of Slidell.

I'm usually back in LA by November, and I used to have a problem with a wasp net appearing on my porch. I hung a a fake wasp net on the porch, and now I only get a tiny (i.e., like 3-cell) nest that was obviously abandoned early on as they noticed that big fake nest.
