You're full of it on the not getting clean and safe in Mandeville.

What kind of crime?
Any type of crime. Mandeville vs Uptown. I've never had my door kicked in in Mandeville. Never heard gunshots weekly in Mandeville. Never had a neighbor clocked over the head with a brick in Mandeville while taking out the garbage. I had all of that while living on Nashville between Freret and St. Charles in just three years.

Is St Tammany murder rate still skyrocketing?

Sounds like you were bad luck as a neighbor.

Mandeville is full of idle, entitled rich kids. Had my car rifled through by one. Got t-boned by another.

Folsom had a crack problem back in the 1990s. It's probably a heroin problem now. In any case, it's not like we had all that much worth stealing, but we still caught people staking us out. One of those guys did burglarize our neighbor. Their TVs, fur coats, etc. ended up in a cinder block shed on Willie Road.

The whole crack thing was chronicled in slow-motion in the paper, as the children and grandchildren of the once-well-off sold the land they'd been left.

And then there was that Manguno woman whose head ended up in a mailbox on Tarantella Road... totally random, I'm sure.

I'm not saying it's New Orleans East, but if you really want somewhere safe and clean, you can do 100% better.

Folsom isnt Mandeville and getting t-boned is not crime. The Manguno murder was Folsom as well and in 1983.

Well, there's no lake between them, but if you've really got a hard-on for Mandeville there's probably nothing I can say to convince you otherwise. Honestly strikes me as kind of sad. There are much, much better places out there, in every respect.

Yeah, that's what Wally (Reed) and Boo-Boo (Strain) said, but it didn't bring back my car or fix my leg. But hey, at least the guy came from a nice family and a Corolla is marginally classier than a Hi Point... maybe.

No. It was 17 in 2017, the first double digits since 2007. It was 5 in 2018.

Nope. I was pretty good luck when you compared the numbers of crimes nearby. On the Northshore I've had nothing criminal occur the entire time here, 18 years.

They are 22 miles apart, you're stretching here.

Ah, I see. You're angry still.

I didn't say there weren't. All I said was that it is clean and safe.

Y'all have already eclipsed that for the year.

Granted, the 2018 number will be reclassified so not to make the 2019 number look as bad.

Bruh, you were talking about NOLA pre-Katrina? That school you lived by might surprise you these days.

Let's be realistic. St George will probably be more like Slidell.

Probably something like Ascension without the good schools.

Lol shut the frick up. Sound jealous. It’s the nicest area of the state and that’s not even questionable. Yes, uptown Nola and Nola in general is one of a kind. Nobody is denying that. But as a whole, you can not compare to the northshore in terms of quality of life.

Going to have to dig a moat to give St. George the protection in needs to become the northshore.

Fortier wasn't the problem. Don't begin to act like that area is as safe as Mandeville, because that's bullshite, laughably so.

Mandeville/Covington/Northshore is unquestionably the best place to live in Louisiana

Slidell is the gem of the Northshore.

Superior education - Northshore High consistently dominates the rest of the Northshore in National Merit Finalists.

Far less traffic and easier interstate access to New Orleans without that dreadful Causeway drive.

Much better lake/fishing access from baller homes. You won't find these in Mandeville/Covington.
