Mandeville/Covington/Northshore is unquestionably the best place to live in Louisiana. I think with the newly developed City of St. George, if the right people get put in charge it will rival that of the Northshore in terms of quality of of life. Only issue is that there is no lake separating St. George and Baton Rouge like there is for the Northshore and Nawlins

You mean cookie cutter subdivisions, horrible traffic, and flooding? They have all that already

Which is like saying you’re the tallest dwarf.. and it’s just false.

As someone who lived in Mandeville in the past, I seriously dont understand people who think it’s some great place to live.. It’s a pretty generic suburb, the traffic was bad when i lived there, and has gotten a lot worse, and the people are not exactly the best.

In terms of best places to live in La., at the top of the list would be Uptown NOLA.. when it’s not under a boil water advisory, of course (Mandeville has those too).. Uptown is unique, and unlike any other community in the country.. It also has some of the finest restaurants on the planet within walking distance.. Mandeville has the finest selection of chain restaurants, alomg with, like, Nuvolari’s.

Mandeville is #3. Central, Walker and Denham all crack the top 10. Is Harahan really that filled with crackers?

If you’re wondering, Baker is the least white city of all those we measured.

I find that pretty hard to believe.

I spent more than a few years living there, and I thought it was pretty mediocre. It's a compromise between living someplace truly enjoyable and living someplace truly clean and safe. You don't really get either one.

They won't. They'll find their own Sixty Rayburn, Walter Reed, Bill Strain, "Boo Boo," etc.

While not better than the Northshore IMHO, it is most definitely better than the festering filth known as Ouachita Parish.
