No, they won't.

And is it irrational to leave? Probably, but it's hard to blame them, especially if they have kids they're trying to raise.

Watched it happen after irma and Matthew. My dad's neighborhood is really prone to storm surge flooding. Saw it happen twice in under 12.5 months. Even more new homes being built than before those 2 storms.

No chance I'll go through the rebuilding process again. Hell I'm still only 90% complete from 2016. Every single decision maker for Wells Fargo who has impacted the holding of my final draw can eat a giant bag of AIDS dicks. I'll let it be Wells Fargo's problem if I flood again.

It’s irrational to stay in Louisiana, regardless of flooding.

Huh?

‘Irrational’ would be staying in a place where you’re constantly flooding and having to rebuild, inflicting that type of emotional distress on your kids (if you have them), or hell, just on yourself.. There comes a point of diminishing returns, whether it be BR, Denham Springs, or NOLA- people can only take so much before they pull up stakes.

If I were still in the same house that I flooded in in 2016 I would certainly leave the keys and go find a better state to live in. I have had nightmare after nightmare of water coming in again. But that is why I moved back to BR to higher ground. But I would not go through it again. No way.
