Society will succeed when the traditional family unit is considered sacred again.

It is better to get support from the family instead of being shunned.

We never said shunned, just shamed. If something is no longer taboo, it becomes common.

I say it in these threads all the time - if you want shite to change, you need 2 parent households to have more children. The reason single parent births are such a large share today is in part due to how few children "stable" families have anymore.
People try to say they're being responsible, but the truth of the matter is they simply don't want the inconvenience of 2 or 3 children, so they stop at 1.

Well, you can't unring a bell. She's already pregnant and I guess your family is taking the mature approach about it. Would you prefer they run her into the street and stone her?

My wife and I had infertility battles to even have 1... but even if that wasn't the case I don't know that we'd go for another. Kids are expensive even without the IVF costs.

Or smart people are figuring out that having kids isn't all it's cracked up to be when you're trying to pay off student loans and have a career/comfortable life.

It’s still taboo in my circles albeit not the end of the world.

How much longer till nurse comes in and takes a giant shite in this thread?

Real Christians don’t judge others.

This is the issue here. Smart people comprehend the cost and responsibility of raising kids. Dumb people, like the OP’s relative, don’t. They will outnumber us with no natural predators to thin the herd.

But nobody is pointing out the fact that these babies aren’t gonna have a chance in hell to grow up in a healthy home.
What benefit is there to pointing it out. Everyone knows this is the case, so supporting her is the children's best bet at a decent upbringing.
I'm not saying there is anything wrong with having a child out of wedlock if you are a responsible adult who can financially provide for your child. I just don't know any 21 years olds that meet that criteria (especially with a second child).

And if you subsidize something, you get more of it. We need to subsidize tube-tying.

Her Mom and grandparents as well as other family members are successful and financially secure people. It will be take care of in house. We don’t take from others, that’s what family is for.
She’s gonna have to work, tho.

In my experience they are all looking for a hookup. Lies are a defect of their kind
