It's just compressed air.
Allegedly lowers the 0-60 from 1.9s to 1.1s

It takes a shite ton of energy to compress air, whats the tank pressure/size etc.

Sounds great but doesn’t matter when the retards in front of me try to merge onto the interstate going 45 mph

Not to be a grandpa but that probably shouldn't even be legal.

I don't believe it is street legal.
And apparently it's all very very loud.

• Report from The Information says the redesigned next-gen Roadster could be shown this month
• Limited-edition version with SpaceX cold-gas thrusters expected to be demonstrated at the McGregor, Texas test site
• Earlier concepts included ramp launches, inverted driving and hovering; several ambitious elements were dialed back after a rehearsal for Elon
• Thruster version not expected to be street-legal and could cost hundreds of thousands or more
• Standard and SpaceX-branded versions expected to look similar; car may be remotely operated during the stunt
This is still a reveal, not a production start.
sounds like its essentially a stunt

Storing the ~30 kg of air required for a sub-1-second 0–60 mph launch at 10,000 psi requires a tank capacity of roughly 47 to 55 liters.

They’ll float whatever rumor that will pump the stock.

They've been talking about this for years. I'll believe it when it's real and available for purchase.

Yea I have a buddy that's high up at Tesla and he told me about this a few months ago. Very low production though (< 100 cars) so unlikely any normal person will be able to get their hands on it.
