Tell them you are going to Target without them.

They will stop fighting each other and join forces to hate you.

FIFY.

My parents did a lot of shite I didnt like, but if I ever raised my voice to the level of shouting, my arse was grass.

They're fighting over the same dude. One of them found the other in bed with the other one's "boyfriend."

Or tell your daughter she is only fourteen and to show some respect to her mother. Back in the day we didn't argue with our parents no matter how wrong we thought they may be.

Seems like a great time to slip out the back door and head to the bar or favorite fishing and or golf spot

I don't understand how this happens for hours.

Your wife is the adult. Whatever decision she made is finally.

I mean damn, I tell my 12 year old all the time that I don't negotiate. You take the decisions and deal with them

What are you gaining here by telling everyone about how bad of a parent you are?

Take up fishing.

Or, at least wear a helmet.

You could try to pull the daughter into a separate room and calmly ask her why she is mad. You have authority over her. Then tell her to stay in said room and go to your wife and get her side of the story. See if you can mediate an agreement on whatever they’re arguing about

Genius. Unite them by turning both against you

14 and throwing stuff, yeah. There's major issues. For real, I can't imagine treating a parent like that.

A few hours, if I got a few minutes if I was lucky. My son is 3, he only gets to get told twice.

Go to store. Buy food/becerage. Go outside. Put on grill. Have NBA, golf, or the Fury fight on.
