I can’t even imagine what my dad would have done to me or my sister if we were throwing things and all out screaming for hours because he had already established the law and we knew it was not an option that would end well for us at all. I remember slamming a door hard as frick once, once- that never happened again. My sister and mom would get into it during the teen years a lot but always remember thinking “haha” when dad would swoop in and shite all over my sister’s nonsense immediately.

My middle daughter was about 15 when shite elevated between her and Mrs. 19 that she swole up at her Mom.

I have a decent idea what mine would have done.
I hardly remember seeing/experiencing the belt in use, but I still vividly remember what the belt meant. Pretty sure dad threaded that needle perfectly in that regard.
I don't ever recall either of my sisters being like the typical dramatic girl. Credit to them for sure, but also probably credit to my parents for nipping the bud on that one.

Go to your LSU Man Cave (or equivalent shelter). Close the door. Pop a top (or two, or three). Prop up your legs. Put on some BB King (or Merle Haggard if you're country) and let him take you away from it all.
Oh, I almost forgot. Tell'em both to let you know when they're finished. On second thought don't do that, they'll both turn on ya.

I don’t have any advice - my older daughter (no pics) and I have never had a yelling fight
The younger daughter is still sweet and thinks everything I do is great.
The boys in between don’t fight with me … they have each other
But tell your wife that the kid is a teenager - she doesn’t know as much as she thinks she does. (That may go for mom too)

When teenagers start screaming and throwing things the worst thing you can do is respond with the same. You calmly tell them to go to their room and you will talk later when they have calmed down.
