Best thing you can do is just sniff some glue and get very weird with it. It’ll throw both of them for a loop and they’ll be forced to settle down to observe your weirdness

Sounds like a 14 year old needs a reality check. Nothing electronic unless she pays for it. If that doesn’t work then wup her arse and ground her. If you don’t nip it in the bud now you will suffer later when she gets in the driving age

Get ready for about 5 more years of this. Step in only if a line is crossed or it gets physical. This is something they are going to have to work through. Teenaged girls’ hormones fluctuate dramatically and they usually don’t even realize what emotion they are actually experiencing. It all comes out as bitchy. Your wife is trying to establish a baseline order and demand respect. All you can do is demand your daughter respect your wife and step in on,y step in when a verbal or physical line is crossed.

My oldest daughter was a breeze. Easy going and never gave us a problem. Her sister from age 14-16 would knock down drag out with her mother about once a week but would always cease when I walked in the door from work. Always take the side of your wife and tell your daughter to get in her room and shut the frick up.
