The ability to think critically has really deteriorated for a large swath of the population though.
It's terrifying. Democracy cannot survive without a population believing in the integrity of its institutions. That isn't to say all people have to believe the institutions are perfect, but they have to believe that democratic institutions have the interests of the people always at the forefront.
As the information landscape is flooded with bullshite, much of it aimed at disparaging the institutional order, democracy slowly dies.
I heard a great line yesterday, the gist of which was to say that having more information doesn't lead to having better information. In fact, too much information means more misinformation. A human eating is necessary. That doesn't mean it's healthier to eat a trough full of food every waking moment.

Your sentiments on critical thinking are absolutely hilarious considering your past and almost certainly your future posts on this board.

Do people really believe this? The government is ordering counter strikes against rural areas with a few thousand voters?

So, why was the prop washing done?
Again, replace “prop washing” with “landing.”
Why were helicopters landing in areas full of pop-up tents and unsecured supplies? That would be a reasonable question, and I haven’t seen a definitive answer.
My guess would be some combination of:
A) Volunteers who don’t have experience dealing with helicopter operations setting up these camps, and
B) Pilots who aren’t used to working with civilian volunteers.

Was coming to post this.
If that helicopter was sent to destroy stuff, he failed.
My guess is the pilot saw that he rotor washed the area accidentally, and said, "oh shite, let's get outta here!"

Because the fed wants to keep these predominantly republican areas in a mess until after the election in an attempt to help the Democratic Party.
This is the result of not knowing the area and blindly repeating what others have said, at least in the context of WNC.
WNC has 8 counties significantly impacted and in 2020 those 8 counties voted just under 163,000 votes for Biden and just over 154,000 votes for Trump.
There are some more granular arguments regarding things like which areas will bounce back better in the next 3 weeks but those start to be about handfuls of votes one way or another.

I'm not saying they aren't sabotaging staging sites, but.....
I was in the military for 31 years and I saw dumbasses do this many times because they weren't' paying attention.

Please point out where I said it was pilot error
And do so in less than three paragraphs

Probably wouldn't happen if people knew how to 5-light mark a landing zone and give something to help the pilot with windage.

This is a real problem in disaster areas. People come in to help and they mean well but end up creating issues. Sure let’s set up some tents and help handing out supplies, seems like a reasonable thing to do until you find out it’s an LZ. And god forbid they roped off the area and told people to take their shite and gtfo because then there would be more videos of people saying fema is turning away supplies and help.

Do you believe these pilots, did this because they were ordered to do it?
Do you believe these pilot’s are operating without guidance?

The North Carolina National Guard says a Black Hawk helicopter crew was grounded after an incident in which they flew low over a Hurricane Helene donation and supply area, blowing over three tents and scattering items in the air.
Video of the incident surfaced after the helicopter hovered over the supply area in Burnsville on Sunday. One person who recorded the video said that the incident “seemed deliberate.”
How can you and SFP be so wrong in every post you make?
