I'm referring to prolonging the societal and economic impacts, but I'm fairly certain you knew that.

This is FALSE. The vaccine does prevent transmission of the disease. It does not prevent ALL transmission, but it does prevent MOST transmission.

In Pennsylvania our cases haven't spiked and a friend of mine told me that they have zero patients in her ICU. She works at one of the bigger hospitals in Pittsburgh. Meanwhile, my sister in Louisiana said that her hospital had a big influx of covid patients in the ICU.

We're not seeing near the hospitalizations and deaths as previous surges.

Louisiana covid hospitalizations have gone from mid 200’s to mid 700’s in the span of a few weeks. My thought is this should level off fairly quickly though?

No you weren’t as evidence by the stat start of the sentence. Nice edit though.

Correcting an erroneous statement is always relevant.

I’m old enough to remember just a few months ago when all you leftists were toting the Democrat Party narrative that the vaccine was all thanks to Biden and Trump had nothing to do with it.

A lot of people were back to treating it like a cold. Get it, get over it, move on. Testing went way down.

Then the delta variant news panic porn ramped up. So now people get a cold, which is all covid is for most people, and go get a test because DELTA aaahhhhggg! So reported numbers go up.

This thing ebbs and flows. Cause panic at the right time = more tests = more cases = more over the top reactions.

High IQ post right here. This person gets it

Yet you blew right past the "Trump told his Trumptards to totally not get vaccinated" comment.

Weird.

Trump actively promoted and campaigned for Americans to get vaccinated. your point and previous point are irrelevant to the conversation. your TDS is showing, again.

Compare new case #s from the past and now to the hospitalizations front the past and now. You'll see for the # of cases there just isn't the same amount of hospitalizations (deaths probably lag too much to take at face value right now).

It’s been corrected by about five other posters. Does it really need to be corrected again within the same page?

You've ignored several, which tells me you believe them. This shocks no one.
