So you just want to make the majority of canned food more expensive.

Campbell's soup is about a buck and comes in a pop top can...

That's exactly my point. Why can't they all?

Why can't you just select the ones that do have them when you're shopping? It's a very readily obvious thing whether or not they have them.

I don't mind using can openers, just wish they'd do something about the quality. I used the same can opener for 20 years, then it got lost while moving. Ever since then, I can't seem to find a can opener that lasts 6 months.

You don't.
You can use a broken piece of cinder block, rub it around the top of the lid rim a few times and lift the lid off.
You can also use a coarse flat file.

I drink cafe du monde french roast coffee which requires a can opener to open. I enjoy the ceremony of opening a fresh can. Can openers are sort of satisfying. I’m glad they are still needed in the world.

Clearly you have never had a cat!

If you want your cats full and undivided attention, use a can opener.

As a general rule I'm of the "frick these soft arse kids" mindset, but I'm with you on this one.

Maybe one day you'll put down the children's soft drink 2-liter and graduate to a big boy bottled beer.

A man who has to use a bottle opener isn't a man.

Cost, durability in shipping, and to confound the room temperature IQ's of the world.

So that cats know when it's feeding time.

The OT truly is full of a holes that think everything they say has to be brash and witty instead of engaging in a conversation.
