Why do some drivers fail to dim their headlights?

My dad taught me to drive at age 13-14. Ford 3 on the tree, and one thing he first taught me was how to use the dimmer switch. Now days with super bright headlights its easier to blind drivers. I am constantly meeting drivers on highbeam, and they seldom use the dimmer switch. So i just highbeam them back. Frick em

I find a lot of times it's someone with a light out trying to cover it up.

Same reason most don't use turn signals, laziness

Sometimes my auto high beams are a dick to people. Blame the engineers.

Most times they aren't actually even using the high beams. These regular led headlights are just so fricking bright in some models that it just looks like high beams.

I realize I'm showing my age but my first car had the highbeam "foot switch" on the floor. It was right next to the brake. I preferred that to the modern switch on the steering wheel. I'm guessing they took it off the floor for safety reasons.

So are too dumb to turn on the Auto High Beam Off function on their fancy cars.
It’s the same idiots that hold their phone instead of turn Bluetooth on in their Range Rovers and Mercedes.

so i just got a 3" lift on vehicle for overlanding.
I was driving it on a 4 hour drive through the mountains and everyone kept flashing me their brights. My brights weren't on because i rarely ever use them
I kept getting pissed off and then after it happened like 7 times i realized the lift must have put my lights right in the drivers eye line and the guy who installed the lift didn't adjust the lights.
so i pulled over and googled how to adjust the lights and fixed it.

Im getting more and more annoyed with them.
They can be distracting for no reason.
But I use them myself so hey whatever.

Try driving a semi on a two/four lane highway and the clowns wont dim their high beams - 40k tons of pain moving at you and you feel the need to melt the retinas the driver with your super bright lights because you're afraid of hitting a pothole. Friggin' smart.

Or people who jacked up their truck and didn't fix their headlights to compensate.

the problem is so many trucks getting leveling kits or lifts that don't adjust normal headlight angles, combined with lights just being brighter now.

Most of the time, it's probably auto headlights. I had a car with automatic lights and would constantly high beam people around turns and stuff on accident. I eventually just switched it off and manually turned them on and off because I hated it.

Why do some drivers fail to use a turn signal?
Why do some drivers sit in the left lane?
Why do some drivers turn left in to the right lane, or turn right in to the left lane?
Why do some drivers stop in the left lane to turn left, when they have a middle turn lane to use?

I always get high beamed from other drivers when I’m not in high beam. So Frick people like you who blind me thinking I’m on high.

Exactly, I get lights flashed at me a lot when driving my wife’s (no pics) 4Runner. I usually flash the brights back at them, and it always comes from someone in a small car.

Anyone with a leveling kit or lift kit on their truck who never re-aims the lights........................

Agreed, and that shite needs to be banned. Should have a max lumens or whatever for low beams.
