Guess what?

He's gonna die whether he smokes or not.

He's also gonna die, regardless of whether he:

Drinks too much
Eats too many fatty foods
Gets too much sun
Swims within an hour after eating

BECAUSE WE ARE ALL GOING TO DIE.

I enjoyed the last one I smoked.

Gonna be like Sinatra; wait until I'm 75 and start again.

Second hand smoke isn’t dangerous.

anti-smoking advocacy groups eagerly embraced alarmism to shape public perception. Today’s tobacco control movement is guided by ideology as much as it is by science, prone to hyping politically convenient studies regardless of their merit and ostracizing detractors.

When did the ad campaigns start?

It all started back in 1998. As part of a $206 billion dollar settlement, major tobacco companies like Philip Morris agreed to pay for advertising campaigns to educate consumers about the dangers of tobacco. Not only were they barred from advertising their own products or sponsoring events geared towards teenagers, they also had to contribute millions annually to support these anti-smoking ads in every state

i use to smoke. i haven't in the past 7 1/2 years. yet i think if people want to smoke they should be able to. if a non smoker which i am one now, don't like the smell, or they are afraid of second hand smoke, move the frick away from the smoker. it's very simple.

Let's see..

- They are addictive.
- They cause health issues.
- Because of all the health issues they cause, it has had an impact on health insurance premiums.

- They make the person smoking them have horrible breath and smell like cigarettes.
- They make everyone around the smoke smell like cigarettes.
- They make people who smoke them have yellow teeth.

But I am not sure why they have a bad rep.

Here’s my problem with all the cigarette shaming: those same little libtard Truth nazi shits who get all up in peoples faces and get sooooo offended because “cigarettes are trashy”, and “your cigs are cutting years off of my lifespan” will go get plastered, throwing up drunk on the weekends, carry more STDs than Lindsey Lohan and Madonna combined, live off of nothing but sodas and McDonalds, drive like maniacs and scream police brutality when they get pulled over, fight for the right to vape even though we now know about chemical burns to lungs and slowly drowning yourself with wet lung, and smoke pot like it’s going outta style, screaming to legalize it in every state.

It’s the HEIGHT of liberal hypocrisy!!!! So, while I don’t smoke... anything... and know smoking cigs WILL kill you eventually, I don’t try to make people feel like shite for doing it. It doesn’t bother me or affect my life.

Cigs are not more harmful as alcohol or cheeseburgers. Most vices actually.

One must keep in mind the difference between use and abuse. The vast majority of smokers are full-on addicted abusers, the numbers are nowhere near that level with "bad" food or alcohol. If the average smoker smoked a couple of cigarettes a day this wouldn't be near the issue.

They killed John Wayne. But six packs a day will do that to you.

Acktually, John Wayne died of cancer due to filming The Conqueror in radioactive fallout from nuclear testing.

Susan Hayward his co-star died of brain cancer a few years later in her early 50's.

50% of the 200 person cast and crew died of cancer caused by radioactive exposure.

Howard Hughes had them film on location in the OG St. George (Utah), downwind of the Nevada Test Site where a dozen nuclear bombs were tested as part of Operation Upshot-Knothole during filming.

The Duke, covering form Uncle Sam, blamed his cancer on smoking 6 packs a day but his kids who visited him on set developed cancer too and not from 2nd hand smoke.

Why are so many trying to outlaw cigarettes but at the same time legalizing pot?

Either way you are sucking in smoke and soot.
That can't be good.
