re: Why do adults go to Disney without their kids or any kids at all?

I never got to go to Disney as a kid. My parents were assholes. When I was 21, my future wife and I went. I had a fricking blast. This is also when Downtown Disney had that adult area. I'm pretty sure I had more fun that trip than any I've had there with kids.

because when they were kids they were poor and couldnt go, so now they go to see what its about.
dont know why that seems weird to you

Because different people have different ideas of fun.
Went to Disneyland for 2 days by myself while I was out in California for work and had an absolute blast. Did what I wanted. Didn't have to worry about other people wanting to stop and use the restroom or arguing over where to eat.

I know people who take trips to Disney in Orlando that go without any children. Why is this a thing?
Have you ever been to Disney without kids? It’s a completely different and incredible experience. No bitching and moaning and can eat/drink and ride rides....

I went to Disney on my honeymoon. Rides, food, shows. Got drunk in Epcot. Took the Mrs to Victoria and Alberts for dinner one night, which was quite nice.
Sometimes it’s nice to have fun and act like a kid. Life is hard enough.

Maybe, unlike you, they like to go?

They have really good dining.
Im going to disagree here unless you are talking about outside of the parks. Inside the parks it’s Aramark food that tastes worse than the frozen food isle at Walmart and you pay big bucks for it.

Wife and I went this past May. We had a great time. Ate at a ton of high end restaurants instead of shitty character meals and hot dog stands. Was on our own schedule the entire time. We saw many couples with kids with them. The majority were either crying or the adults were fighting. The kids were miserable standing in lines.
The real question is why do parents bring kids that’s are infants or less than 5 years old?

+1000
The atmosphere was awesome but most of the food was too bland for my taste.

There are many really good signature restaurants, plus the restaurants at the Swan and Dolphin or the Four Seasons. Disney Springs has a lot of the same Chef owned places that are also in Vegas.
People get the Aramark idea when they only eat at the large counter service places or the food courts at the value resorts.
We go with our kids, but as they have gotten old enough to stay in the room alone, we really enjoy going out to eat at great places every night without the kids.
We also like Disney because it is safe (a bit big brotherish though).

Because their parents were too cheep to take them when they were kids.

I went a few weeks ago without my kids because my wife had work in Orlando for a few days. We went to Disney the day before the conference. It wasn’t bad.

Nah I’m talking about the "nice" restaurants in the park where you have a reservation etc. the aptmosphere May be neat but the food quality is the same. At the resorts and not in the parks themselves you may be right, but I was disappointed across the board at anything I ate in the parks themselves.

You must not have eaten at Le’Cellier, Rose & Crown, Che d’France, Bella Napoli, Tepanaki, Brown Derby, The Plaza, Flame Tree or a bunch of other places that are not off the top of my head.

Must not have. I’m not sure where we ate, it’s been 4 or 5 years ago. Definitely pricey, definitely had to have reservations, definitelly tasted like Aramark.

The one's that I know didn't have kids by choice. They just go to be entertained.

Disney is one of my favorite things. I’ve been to Disney World and Disneyland, love both of them. Lots of things for adults to do, and some nostalgic things that I still enjoy from when I was a kid.

Because they want to....don't you do things without asking some dumbass if it's alright to do what you do?

Never understood this either. Hell, if those losers would stay home you probably wouldn't have to wait 2 hours on every ride.
