Why do adults go to Disney without their kids or any kids at all?

I know people who take trips to Disney in Orlando that go without any children. Why is this a thing?

Because people are generally weirdos.

Why are you concerned with what others do with their money?

Because they like it

They probably wonder why you have 5,000 post on a message board in 8 months.

I’m not advocating for it, but there are grownup things to do. There are a lot of cool behind the scenes activities as well.

Because it’s much more fun when you don’t have to worry about your kids.

Better meals. Drinking around the world. Doing what you want to do.

It’s a blast.

This.

Dang, OP, it's an amusement park! Adults can't like roller-coasters and thrill rides? You're an idiot.

I’ll advocate for it. They have really good dining. You can drink everywhere. Rides are fun. Nice resorts. Easier than international travel. I wouldn’t do it every vacation, but it can be a really fun vacation for a couple without kids

If you can’t enjoy yourself at Disney World, you have no soul. No matter what age you are.

I thought the same thing until I went with my kids for a week. I still don’t think we’d ever take a trip there without the kids, but I can see the appeal.

You are asking why people go to perhaps the most popular tourist destination in the world ? A place owned by one of the most powerful brands in the world?

It may not be for you, but how is this hard to figure out?

I can see one, or even two, trips there but I know people who go one or two times a year. Every year. That’s just fricking weird.

I've never understood grown adults who go overboard on characters, but a few days at an amusement park feeling like a kid again can be a good break for almost anyone.

My wife and I went before we had kids. You move through the park quickly and spend more money on good food. You can go at your own pace and not at the pace of little people. We drank our asses off at Epcot. I apologise to no one. We had a blast.
