But to the douche bags who are chanting LSU after The Thunder Rolls and similar songs, why can’t you separate a Garth concert from an LSU football game? Dudes all around us are chanting LSU after every single song.

The concert was literally in Tiger Stadium, home of the LSU football team and one of the most storied sporting venues in the world, beneath pennants proclaiming LSU football's various triumphs. Naturally, this setting calls to mind LSU sports and Louisiana's strong allegiance to LSU. It is completely predictable and acceptable that concertgoers would chant LSU in that setting, especially after Brooks apparently encouraged it. Was chanting LSU more disruptive in some way than the spectrum of other loud and random noises that people make at large concerts?

This board (or perhaps contemporary views generally) can be tiresome. Another thread called people "mindless" for enjoying the concert at all. This one calls people "douche bags" for chanting LSU. It's so chic to be disinterested and apathetic and joyless.

Please explain why then.

You have to show colors to help drown out the bevy of red.

Last night non Bama alums got drunk at their trailer and beat their sister, while chanting Roll Tide, what’s your point?

I'll take a stab at it. It's an invitation to other beach-goers who might also be LSU fans to stop by and socialize.

Right? LSU chant is tame. I’m surprised no one started a “frick Joe Biden”.

The fact that you had to explain that to people shows exactly what level of morons you’re dealing with. Just let them cat fight over it.

I have a friend who will legit wear an LSU polo to everything. Dinner, birthday parties, engagement parties, it doesn’t matter if it’s a black tie affair, he’s gonna find a way to sneak in some LSU gear. It doesn’t bother me, but I just don’t understand it.

Nope, he’s got a rotation of them. Some of them are great looking LSU polos, I’d wear them on game day for sure

It's much better when adults are screaming profanity in front of children at an actual game.

Besides the fact that he was in Tiger Stadium performing beneath our banners of championships, he literally asked the fans to make it like a sporting event.
