I think you will find that it is a solid watch. Some might say they are a little overpriced in the micro-brand market and point out the movement is left stock but they are a lot better than the tons of Chinese catalog watches.
I mean you can buy a Parnis or unbranded IWC Big Pilot "homage" for under $150 but I refuse to recommend them since it is my opinion they prop up the fake market. I am 99.9% convinced they use the same parts that are unbranded as the fake industry. That said I have no issues with someone that wears a Parnis or unbranded "homage". I don't know the flieger market that well, I have never owned one or shopped them so you may want to ask on the WatchUSeek pilot's watch forum, there may well be more options.

All of rolex's luxury watches are 41mm and under. Only the sport models. Are over 41mm.

Why not a German B-Uhr over that field watch? Kind of Cracker Jack case on that Hamilton. Even their pilots look better than that, and they’re way down list aesthetically speaking.

It’s very poor style to pull out your phone in a meeting to check the time. If you’re gauging your time working through projects it would just be really weird to keep checking your phone.
I feel naked without my watch on. It’s a very personal statement on your style and I think it says much more about a person than most people realize.

My wife bought me a watch 2 years ago for Christmas to replace my old watch that finally gave up the ghost and I had to return it.
The face of that thing was bigger around than a silver dollar and the case stuck out at least another 1/4 inch all around. It was hideous. I really don't need a watch since my cellphone has the time if I really need to know, but being retired, I don't give a rats arse what time it is for the most part.

Their sport models are still luxury watches
But yes, most of their lineup in smaller than 42mm.

I changed the batteries in my Emergency today. God that's a horrid feeling each and every time. Saves a ton of money though. I think it's pushing $800 now through BUSA

The near reissue of the vintage milspecs simply speaks to me in a way other inexpensive field watches don’t.

I’m nervous already. One of the tubes shite the bed and took out a biasing component. Hand made in Korea, so there’re not many options.

That second image is a vintage milspec watch from I believe the 70’s.
I actually prefer the small size for a field watch. I have an SKX009 on a navy blue nato as a larger knock around.

I’m very interested in a Grand Seiko. Snowflake, peacock, etc all look amazing and owners rave about them.
However I really would like to see one on my wrist before committing that kinda money.

People wear watches for a host of reasons but for me it comes down to two things. It is a habit for me and since I was 7 or 8 years old I have had a watch on my wrist more than I have had underwear on. Looking down and not seeing a watch on my wrist is akin to a teenager realizing they left their phone at home, it has no signal or the battery is completely drained. Second, I simply like them. I find both them and the history of watchmaking and timekeeping fascinating. It is like a hobby I can participate in 24 hours a day.
There is the third reason... zombie apocalypse. A mechanical watch will be able to provide timekeeping in a post-apocalyptic world the ability to keep time is part of the bedrock of civilizations.
But yeah, in the end, I just like them.

What makes the process so involved? Is it due to some process of resetting the electronics or is it more of a physical PITA.
NTW I know there is the recessed area in the caseback that shows the battery change by date (at least on the II version) is that the actual battery or something you replace separate from the battery.
My fear of a B-ling Emergency is at some point, possibly alcohol aided, someone would convince me to deploy it, at that point it would become an incredibly expensive watch.
