This is the one I want and is 42mm. Baume & Mercier also makes smaller housings in the Classima series.

Is it crazy thin? All of the B&Ms I’ve seen have been.

My dad got one like the pictured in '45 in the Pacific Theater, I've had it since '89 and one of the little füts will have it after me.

35 mm face

For a luxury watch, this is it.

The DateJust is a watch that a lot of people think of when they think about a "dress" watch, or "luxury" watch.

FIFY

I see you haven't given up on your bad take here

I don't know what is feminine about my fully brushed stainless steel bracelet.

I've tried leather, nato, etc... and nothing is as comfortable as wearing the steel bracelet.

I prefer the white or the black face. For me, it's just simple and classic.

Maybe I have above average size wrists because my 4 watches I rotate during the week are all 40-42mm and they don’t look big at all and I’ve never had someone say they did. My new one is 44 I think

Small watches look like they belong on women.

I can't think of many Luxury watches that are over 42. Maybe that's because I never look at them.

Rolex Datejust - 36 or 41
Rolex Submariner - 40
Rolex Sky-dweller - 42
Breitling has a ton, but that brand sucks.
Omega has an XL Planet Ocean at 45, but most of their models are under 42.
Tudor Black Bay - 41
Tudor Pelagos - 42

42 is not too big.

What price point are you looking at? There are plenty of smaller faced watches out there.

for the "bling" factor

no one even knows how to tell time with a watch, its just jewelry at this point, something flashy and expensive

Ive been wearing a 40mm Rolex Daytona for a couple years and just bought a 36mm Datejust with Ice Blue Dial. The Daytona feels gigantic and a bit too much after wearing the more subtle sized one.

For some people it isn’t too big, for others it might be. I have a 6.5 inch wrist, 42mm watches look pretty huge on me unless they have very short lugs.

Here’s what I’m wearing at the moment. Doesn’t look big on my wrist at all. 44mm

new "luxury" men's watch with a case of less than 42mm.

Are you stuck in the year 2002 (when they became popular)?

I'm probably around the same size. I wear a Seiko SKX173 everyday which is 42, and it looks fine. I think those "wear small" though.

That’s cool. It’s got Prodiver lugs.
