While most of the oil business was sold off. Taylor Energy still owns one well that has been leaking since Katrina that has been a stubborn thorn in the side of environmental groups and an insurance settlement for the loss of the well that could add a few million back into Taylor oil fortune.

Entergy had a vendor outreach thing last year, and I remember they did a vendor spotlight on a woman owned biz that was doing really well with them. I think she was out of Lake Chuck. I have no idea if her husband helped her get it started or not and I can't remember her name/company name. now that I'm typing I probably should have just not responded to the OP. lol. maybe someone else saw this and can help me out

While we are on the list of successful Lafourche Parish businesses, you could even add female members of the Rouse family to list of female millionaires that are millionaires because of their family businesses.

yeah I wasnt implying that Dionne was self made but she's one of the wealthiest females in Louisiana and Chouest OWNS Bollinger so there's that.
