These libs are gonna have such a hard time when they're forced to work among men after the USD is destroyed and everyone is out of a job until they can buck up.

I know but my point is still valid that even a $5k “sim rig” pales in comparison to the amount of money a serious fisherman puts towards their hobby.

If we cut off welfare these dweebs would go back to work.

And if parents would kick them out of the basement.

Pathetic losers.

I’ll stand up for this one by saying I’m a successful mid 30s guy with wife and kid and connect more with my college friends by video games than by any other method. I have no social media outside of TD if you consider that

Base games can be affordable if you are playing solo or couch co op.

Online play? Expansions? Point cards? All that shite gets expensive depending on the title and a lot of it is necessary if you are into competitive play.

I have no idea what any of this means, and that's probably because I have a career and a family to provide for

College is a lot different. Girls have different standards of 18-22 year olds than 26 year olds, for example. Also, you have a lot of free time in college and can easily play video games a couple hours a day while still being socially active.

This is true too, I had more confidence in college, more experience, less pimples.

I guess I didn’t want to get in that, if you play video games you are a loser and have no social life.

Since college, the most I spent playing daily was during the lockdown bs during covid.

Everything being built leads to nowhere, other than the government using it against you. Death is the only way out and that's a prize everybody will receive.

GotDAMN. I tend to agree with the overall premise of your post and will admit that I thought just like you for most of my life.

But then I got married to my soulmate and best friend, someone that might as well share a brain with me as far as our beliefs, humor, and outlook on life. Someone I legitimately enjoy spending time with, down to my core.

Then we had a baby. He is by far the greatest thing I've ever done and gave me this new deepened sense of purpose. My life suddenly had meaning where it hasn't before - I'm responsible for raising and teaching another living soul, one created out of seemingly nowhere consisting of my own DNA, values, and traits. He is the legacy of my lineage and DNA that lasts beyond my death. An entire new soul that my wife and I created, that we are responsible for turning into a good person.

Can't get any of the above from a video game, regardless of how advanced the graphics or how in-depth the online multiplayer gameplay goes. That feeling is reserved for real life.

And you can't forget the single greatest reward God himself granted us in life - love, intimacy with your loved one, and sex. Anyone that forgoes the above in favor of video games and a sedentary life, never really lived at all.

I think this feeling is lost on a lot of the younger generation, I myself was one of them up until a few years ago. The harder path is certainly creating a family and raising decent humans to carry on your lineage, it's harder because it's worth it. This is just another symptom of the younger millennials and Gen Z having zero work ethic, and finding any way to justify their lethargic lifestyle while blaming everyone else.

"It's just easier this way, capitalism and the government and social security are all against me, so I might as well not even try blah blah blah..."

I shudder to think of what this country and our planet will look like when these lazy, lack of self-accountability weak men are the majority. And I'm only 35, I'll probably live to see it.

You either take your life by the reins and steer it where you want it to go, or you play video games for 7 hours a day and die lonely and unaccomplished, your life meaning nothing other than a gamer tag that will be forgotten and deleted after months of inactivity. Or you could always take the harder, but far more rewarding path.

Just give it a few years. There's a sweet spot where their gaming interests and your gaming interests intersect for a few years. Especially true if you have boys who like sports games.
