One son in February had nagging sinus and sore throat. No flu, took meds and fine now.

Another son now has a cough for at least a week, feels tired but still works out and eats well

I have a dry throat for a couple days but that’s all.

One afternoon I got bad headache almost like a migraine and threw up about a month ago. Not sure if random or minor flu symptoms but that was it.

I had cough cold and congestion for about 2 days then had body aches and fever that peaked at 102.8 one night. Was almost 100% fine the next day

I've stated in a few threads now that I had a bout of dry coughing for a few weeks with 4-5 days of ~100-101 fever but no nasal congestion to speak of. When my fever was breaking I sweat so much I had to change my shirt 3 times in 3 hours

Did I get COVID-19? Probably not. But it does make you wonder.

Same here in Ohio....know quite a few people who think they had it a month or so ago based on the symptoms. If this is the case, shouldn't this start declining in a month or 2?

my 82 year old dad got it. sorta flu like symptoms, retaining water, fever, weakness and coughing for 3-4 weeks.

after 3 weeks he finally went to doctor who gave him fluid pills and now he has lost 28 lbs of fluid and is back to his normal weight again.

I got the coughing and weakness but nothing else

mom was on antibiotics for an unrelated health issue so she only had a mild cough for a few weeks but nothing else

dad would have certainly died from the pneumonia and fluid in his lungs had we not dragged his arse to the doctor.

To start with I rarely get sick but I have already had the flu twice in the past 3 months and now I am currently sick since Thursday evening. Low grade fever of 100-101, very achy, sore throat and a slight cough. Sucks!

I had it no doubt. I had every symptom and work in hospitals all over the Country. The only scary symptom we chest tightness and shortness of breath...i got a chest x-ray and flu swab..both were negative but I still had SOB that actually came and went. The secondary bacterial stuff is when the fun began. 2 steroid shots...2 scripts of oral antibiotics and 1 penicillin shot later I am still tired but better....pretty positive it was COVID19, but I will never know.. My ER's have been seeing it in pretty good numbers since December.

I got sick in early February. Woke up feeling terrible with fever and rough breathing on a Sunday. Tested negative for flu on Monday. Went back to work on wednesday after fever broke and by Thursday morning I could hardly stand, had a 104 fever, and was near wheezing.

I tested positive for the flu on Friday though, so I don't know. By then I had pneumonia too.

None of you guys were sick from covid unless it happened after the middle of February. Pretty soon we will all be posting here about our aches and pains and feeling like we are drowning.

NONE of this is true...My hospitals that I deal with across the Country have seen plenty of this "strange pulmonary virus" that tests flu negative since December...China started seeing it in early Decemeber as well....
The vast majority have mild symptoms and don't feel like they are "drowning" Just stop.

Once a simple antibody test is developed that shows whether or not you've already had it, people are going to be a lot less on edge. The peace of mind knowing that you've already been infected with something and gotten over it is powerful.

Of course, that raises the specter of the "already had it, so I'm not worried" crowd running around with their filthy unwashed hands and still acting as a vector, I guess.

Exact same thing happened to me in early Feb. Doc said she’d seen a bunch of it. Steroid shot and see you later. I was fine in a couple of days.

I'm a teacher. We seemed to have more students out longer this year with "the flu". Maybe the virus has already swept through

It Probably has swept across the world already.

If this is new virus with a 2 week incubation the. There have probably been people getting it and recovering for a few months now and we’re just told they had a non influenza viral syndrome.

Obviously I’m paranoid that I have it right now. I also believe I had this over a month ago. I missed a day of work because of it. That’s it.

I had symptoms Feb 14-19 - really bad cough, heavy chest congestion, etc. It was only 4-5 days and treated with OTC drugs.

As I do for bad cold every few years, I developed a subsequent bacterial sinus infection Feb 21-23. It took a doctors visit and antibiotics to shake that one. The infection was worse than the cold.

But how far away our we from this (anitibody)? Have they pinpointed one yet to even begin to develop tests for?

I am pretty sure I had this shite back in late December right around Christmas. 4 straight days that met every symptom of this virus except for intense fever. Thankfully I was already off work so I just stayed at home the whole time. Still felt minor effects for several weeks afterward (coughing, phlegm buildup, random bouts of fatigue and body ache). I thought it was the weirdest sickness I had ever experienced at the time (it wasn't really a cold and it wasn't really the flu). Now things make sense.

I also had swine flu back when it hit and that was much harsher but also didn't last as long as this thing. This one is a weird one.

There are plenty of other viruses that cause these symptoms. Adenovirus, other strains of Coronavirus, Rhinovirus, RSV to name a few. Just FYI

This virus is knocking people on their arse. It isn't a "ooh, I had a cough and a low grade fever for a few days" type of thing.
You probably had a cold. Shut up. All of these people claiming to have had it aren't helping. Unless your arse was at the hospital and diagnosed, I'd bet my life you didn't have it. Seriously. Stop.
