Since 2006. It's just more efficient as a news source, and although the majority of posters here are right wing, there is and will always be people on the other side offering counter-points.

Reddit can't make that claim. People say most of the stories here come from there, but Reddit is an echo chamber now. It only allows one side of any argument.

Places like this are the last bastion of discourse, and I'm sure they'll be in the crosshairs soon, if they aren't already.

I mean, the news doesn’t do any research at all.

In fact they’ll do the opposite of research by inserting their agenda in the article

The only news this site seems to consistently miss is anything negative pertaining to republican politicians. Strange how it works out that way.

Not true, people constantly shite on the Republican Party and weak RINOs on the poli board.

Try this... sit in a chair until the national media reports anything slightly critical of Joe Biden. You’ll die a very lonely death

Yes, TDs has become a primary source. I recently did an internet search on the name of an election integrity expert, and guess what popped up? TDs LINK .

Still have to look past some juvenile/adolescent posting, but the humor and creativity is fun, as well as the sources of both local and national news.

Keep up the good work, "BAWS".

Primary?

This is my single source.

Same. If the news story isn't stickied at the top of the OT then it can't be that important.

Yeah, browsing Reddit feels like eye cancer and it is so slanted left that it is incapable of being objective.

The OT isn't exactly an intellectual powerhouse, but the average reddit poster is as sharp as a bowling ball.

You are better off just reading the OT. If you need to feel better about your sanity, check out the Q thread on the PT. The Home and Garden board is also useful at times.

Relevant is debatable. While there are some great threads and this is usually where I see things first, TD is filled with MSM clickbait shite, especially concerning race.

As I have said many times, I am an old worn out man. Probably way over on the downside of life with a few years left.

I tune in here every day to read what you whipper-snappers have to say. Informative for the most part and keeps me young!

However, I can't leave without saying that many of you are total shite heads and didn't get our arse whipped often enough as kids and could use a good arse whipping now.

So having said that, stay the frick off my lawn and keep your good news coming.

My wife's work requires her to stay on top of the news, esp LA sources. I love it when she tells me something "breaking" on MSM sites and I respond with, "yeah, TD broke it last night when it happened." She usually responds by saying TD's not a "news source" or some shite. All I have to say is, "well, read this thread...TigerBaw123 posted live as it happened, he was there."

It's the sister argument to Wikipedia isn't a good source for info.

Seriously, if fricktard Cuomo at CNN can read twitters on TV like its actual journalism, then TD is journalism by the people, of the people.

Honestly this site is a more reliable source of information than any official media outlets. I wouldn't have said that 5 years ago but today, it's not even a question.

I'll never understand why other message board sites don't have a simple format like TD does.

The layout of TD is far superior than other much larger message boards. It's also very easy to follow and see who is replying to who here. Like Reddit on mobile, if there are more than like 4 or 5 comments replying to another comment, it quickly gets moved so far to the right side of the screen that it will only allow a word or two before a line break. It's insane.
