are claims of your house temp the new way to subtle brag these days?

The good news is there’s only about 12 more days of these hight temps. Low to mid 90’s enter the picture then and temps trend down after that

I want to believe it so badly but can’t wrap my head around it.

Here in College Station it is about 108. And The house can't get cool enough. Oppressive heat. A/C working big time to keep up.

Run a soaker hose down the ridge of your house.

Set timer on hose to cycle on for like 5 minutes then off for like 15.

Evaporation on your roof will pull the heat off your roof.

If the timer is on so long water is running off your roof you need to reduce the timer. Your wasting water.

I’ve heard of running water but in areas that aren’t BR the cost of water would outweigh the additional mitigations.

It wont shut off with the temps as high as they are. I have the windows open under an attic fan presently.

That is a lot of global warming in one year! At this rate Miami will be underwater by 2026

I live in DFW. It's been over 100° since summer started, hasn't stopped and we've had 18 days of 105° and over, up to 111°, no rain, not a break in sight, band I've had to replace capacitors in all three of my systems outside.

I set mine at 75 and it’s been kicking on and off as usual. I just point a box fan wherever I’m sitting and I’m comfy

It got to 102 here in Ponchatoula and mine is winning. Then again I didn't mess around when I insulated the house when I built it. Yeah I saw one weather man calling for 105-115 in Louisiana next week. I don't know if I buy that.

Thermostat 72
Inside temp 78
Outside 106

AC guy came by to check everything & couldn’t improve the situation. Charged $200

Bad deal

That pig better not quit on me. Next week is supposed to be brutal

If you want it to quit on you, keep running it like that. Putting the temp down isn't helping it keep up. Turn the temp up for a while, let the coils defrost, and turn it back on in an hour. Yeah, it's going to suck, but it's going to suck a loss worse when your shite freezes solid.
