I was reporting, not complaining. I knew my A/C was working too hard.

Now, my wife-- she was complaining.

75 is fine for me.

I got lots of words to describe guys like you, too. Internet tough guys who I probably would have slapped around in high school.

My unit is 6 years old and went out 3 days ago. We have that foam insulation. Our house is staying around 80 to 85 without AC. We waiting on the parts. Should be in early next week. We were at my mother in laws house. Their unit can not keep up. It's still 75 in here now. Unbelievable

Why would you even think about slapping guys around in high school? That's not something most grown men think about or are proud about if they did it back then.

No problem here but then our high was 84...

The parents of a UW recruit, from down south, commented about the weather here on his visit. "It's so nice. In the early morning it's in the 60's and 80 during the day means you can do things outside all day. It's wonderful!"

They (recruits) think it's the frozen tundra up here during the summer. Then they visit and love it.

You live in south Louisiana. Get a second/third unit or just keep fighting the fight.

I've enjoyed plenty a beer in the Summer in Green Bay at the Sardine Can and the Stadium View Grill. I've been up there for work a few times at a paper mill.

Been there a few times. Place is insane for Packer games. Players occasionally show up as well.

I don’t think anyone thinks it’s a frozen tundra in the summer lol

Probably not frozen, but those are the words from their mouths. "I was expecting frozen tundra and farm fields."

It's almost verbatim from every recruit that comes from the south.

By all means please share the videos of all these recruits because I’m not buying this at all. Maybe saying it as a joke, sure.

But I seriously doubt anyone thinks its going to be freezing or snowing in the summer. They are probably just not used to somewhere being 60s-80s in the dead of summer if they are used to 90s and 100s all their life.

Send someone from the south to San Diego in the summer and I’m sure they have the same reaction.

And you hope they sign early and don’t visit in December and January.

Old arse house in Nola has consistently hit 80 the past few weeks. Brutal.

Been trying to decide if a couple window units would help

I had new windows installed in the spring. I also had all of the fiberglass insulation vacuumed out and spray foam put in it's place. My gosh! What a difference these two things has made! Money spent but damn well worth every penny of it.

What if this is just it. This is the way it is now. It’s this much hotter than it normally is. Is that fine? Maybe that’s fine.

Last year was a pretty mild summer, partly due to it raining so much.

I highly doubt this will be the new norm.
