My family all went to TECH, mom, sister, multiple aunts and cousins. I did my undergraduate there.
Ruston is a nice quiet little town but if you drive after 11p, you are presumed drunk until proven otherwise.

I graduated from USL in 1976. During the time that I was in Lafayette, Sports Illustrated used to rank the top "party" schools in the nation. In one of those years, after listing the top ten, they put in a disclaimer saying that USL was not ranked because it wasn't fair to rank "professionals" with amateurs. Coupled with the fact that Tech is in a dry parish, easy pick...USL (or what ever its called now)>Tech.

I can’t speak for the Tech experience but the city of Ruston leaves a lot to the imagination. Going to ULL was an awesome experience and I enjoyed the hell out of it

I had friends who went to Lafayette on weekends pretty regularly. I never heard someone talking about taking a road trip to Ruston.
