I’ve heard UL’s endowment has surpassed $200M this past year. They have seen tremendous growth over the last 18 months. The $153M is not accurate.

Yeah, because La Tech is the MIT of the South.

I worked at Sal's before it was Sal's and it was the Trianon. Monroe was a good town back then and all the Tech folks came over and acted pretty stupid seeing as how Ruston wasn't wet until mid-70s. Also, were stuck on themselves.

Screw Tech.

Hilarious that people are selling Tech as the Stanford of the South and Ruston as some sort of Bible Belt Sodom and Gomorrah.

Fellas, we’ve gone to Ruston for away games. It’s as depressing as it sounds. A tiny college town in north Louisiana. It outshines Monroe as a college experience. That’s about it.

Keg, JSP, Marleys, Bulldog >>> Tech

Keg = if you want to get shot.

JSP is a DT bar. Not a ULL bar.

Marley's has more +25 yr old customers than ULL

Bulldog is exactly what I described earlier. Post college locals who aren't cool enough to go anywhere else.

They're just aren't any actual college bars besides Bulldog. The city grew around the campus & the city is too involved in the bars. Unlike at a Tech or LSU where the bars ARE college bars. In every sense of the word.

Went to school in Monroe. Every weekend about 1/3 of the bar would be tech kids escaping Ruston.

Literally going to fricking Monroe to escape Ruston.

That should tell you all you need to know.

You sound like a giant pussy

2011-2014 JSP was almost all college kids on the weekends. Bulldog too during certain nights.

And not one Tech fan has even mentioned one of these famed Ruston college bars yet

NLU when John David Crow was the AD, and football coach. Kicked tail, and took all of those La Tech and ULL boys' moms to the Siesta.

If by "college experience" you mean chronic inebriation and general debauchery, ULL wins hands down.

Pretty sure that’s exactly what the op was going for.

Rich girls are going out of state if they didn’t make it into LSU, no UL. Lol
