Chances are high that multiple government checks arrive at that address.

I call them “grass parkers”. You always know who lives in the house if there are cars parked all over the lawn.
In Ruston most of those are rentals where three or four Tech students live.

This is my area of expertise boys.

Dan Street is old mill housing. It's going through the natural cycle of southern industrial town housing. This is the final stage, HUD.

Dan street is near one of the original elementary schools, Long Avenue, built after WW2. Bogalusa was quartered up into 4 sections for rec ball. Dan street is in the SE quadrant. If you lived in that section you went to elementary school at Long Avenue. The Southeast rec ball team had their home field baseball field there. That's the group I was in, since I lived outside of town, but south east. I probably wandered around that place a few times 35 years ago.

Southeast was blue/silver. After all these years some of us still get ball caps monogrammed, blue and silver trucker hat with SE on it. And every now and then me and the boys start a fight on FB about who was better. I'd still fight over it 35 years later.

There's a local cop up the road who is a a 400k house, and has at last count:

Gm4500
Gm3500
Gx550
Center console
Enclosed tractor
Open air tractor
72in cut mower
Center console
Duck boat
3 sxs that I can see
Restored square body
And a 50x100 metal shop with 20-30ft leantos on all sides

All purchases were within the last 18 months.

He also concreted his main driveway/shop driveway.

That's north of 1.5 million spent.

Red flag much?

Eta: and no that isnt a typo. He has a smaller center console and a much much larger center console.

This is most peculiar but not Surprising. I'm not originally from Bogalusa but I have lived there for about 20 years. I have a pretty good idea Of who this is . Just shameful. My wife and I could easily uproot and leave but I feel bad For many of the locals That call this home And are still deeply enrooted here.

Easy to have expensive cars when you get to live free when mammaw and papaw pass and you get the house with no note.

Unless you have proof that this cop purchased these things with dirty money I’d say you're just being a nosy Karen and should mind your own business. Maybe he enjoys living in constant debt so he can have “look at me” toys. Just about an entire class of people live that way so why not a cop? Sounds like you don't have enough to do with your own life. You probably think their boy mayor is innocent as well!

Not really. He or his wife could've have gotten a settlement or inheritance.

My co-worker inherited his dad's financial portfolio. He's suddenly worth a few million after taxes and he's still working with me b/c he loves his job.

Son... I can do math. The outgoing on the house alone would be over 50% of his income. The trucks would do the same. As would the tractors. As would the boats.

I know him. I don't even give a shite if he's into things he shouldn't be.

I just think when you have maximum potential income of 200k... Zero inheritance... And zero generational wealth, maybe don't flaunt the amount of money you're sending out each month.
