re: Tre' White has reached an Elite grade by PFF - Dan on 12/4/17 at 11:03 pm
wonder how upset that guy is who was obsessed with LSU offering Tre a scholarship over his nephew from New Orleans? The one who refused to camp at LSU to earn that scholarship and felt he was entitled to it instead (the kid ended up at A&M). The bitter uncle stayed obsessed with Tre's collegi...Jump to Post - View Topic - Replies (0)
re: Only a few cities could actually accommodate Amazon's second HQ - Dan on 9/9/17 at 3:05 pm
I think Austin is out based on our lack of transit. Hiring young talent is about picking a city or location that is can help with recruiting. Young people typically want to go somewhere "cool". That will be a big part of it....Jump to Post - View Topic - Replies (0)

re: Missing Les - Dan on 7/12/17 at 5:28 pm
He hired many upon many OCs. they all sucked. his next one would suck. somehow even our current OC would have sucked under Les. he was too stubborn to adapt and give the team a chance to win. I'm thankful for the great seasons he brought, but I don't miss the last few years ...Jump to Post - View Topic - Replies (1)
re: Why are housing costs so much lower in Texas than Louisiana - Dan on 5/15/17 at 11:26 am
The houses are cheap outside the texas metro areas if you decide to commute your life away (or you don't work near city core). If you want to have a sub 45 minute commute in the afternoon, you are paying 250/ft min for small single family home. 350/ft for new or renovated Then you pay 2.4% prop...Jump to Post - View Topic - Replies (0)
re: The Wild DFW Housing Market--my experience - Dan on 3/28/17 at 11:29 am
Why would you ever offer above asking price the first 2-3 days something is on the market without knowing the other interest?
You are not placing yourself in the mindset of those in this situation. It's not like you can just say "oh, well I don't like that they aren't accepting off...

re: The Wild DFW Housing Market--my experience - Dan on 3/28/17 at 10:12 am
All these people that say they accepted an offer in under 48 hours are idtiots
The weekend bidding frenzy is a strategy in these type of markets. When the buyer knows they don't have time to think through everything and do due diligence they are emotional and are racing to beat all...

re: Turns out BR residents are miserable - Dan on 3/8/17 at 10:16 am
I could have said kayaking the LSU lakes if I wanted somewhere close to go. The basin is big enough to explore.
Your defense of BR is valiant I won't fault you there. The problem is your logic when speaking of quality of life. In every single one of the 200+ cities with pop over...Jump to Post - View Topic - Replies (1)
Friend, my point was that with a median housing cost of 880k, 1600 for rent is incredibly cheap, so much so that it doesn't really add up.
ah, I see. My bad. Yes that seems odd...Jump to Post - View Topic - Replies (0)
Yeah... San Jose was 3 Median house costs 880K Rent average is 1600 though That doesn't seem to make sense
Pretty self explanatory.. it overcame the low affordability score with high marks elsewhere. re: any of you hate BR? - Dan on 1/4/17 at 9:44 am
I've lived in Baton Rouge, New Orleans, and Houston. you will find that most folks who have not lived in these cities do not think very highly of them. I've always felt the need to defend these places because of the misconceptions of each place. I'm not saying this to bash BR, but I've never been ...Jump to Post - View Topic - Replies (0)
