Which cities have the best of both worlds when it comes to city life and outdoors?

Went to Denver recently and was blown away by how such a big city can have such a slow relaxed feel to it, with plenty to do. I don't see how you could get bored in a city like that they seem to have an incredible balance of city life and outdoor activities. Any other cities y'all have been to that have this?

Austin has a nice balance, but Denver is better

lived in Austin for a little over 2 years and i would agree with your statement. i will say, however, we're not quite yet at Denver level real estate prices, which is nice...

Many of these answers, including Denver, don’t exactly fit.

It’s more ‘what city has a great city life as well as being in close proximity to outdoor adventures. Denver, Phoenix, Seattle, Portland, et al come to mind, but none of those cities REALLY have a ton of outdoor options, they’re just close to great areas that do

So what do y’all like about these cities? Being able to hike around them? Don’t delude yourself that you cankle having husky baws would hike more than once a year if you lived there
