Mississippi is about to boom especially if they eliminate the state income tax. Lots of transplants seem to be moving to the area.

Out of the state entirely.
This, hope to sell my mandeville home at a premium to someone from the southshore as it continues to deteriorate.

I think eventually people have to start moving west along 190 and/or north along 61 between Port Hudson and St Fran.
Yeah on TG i decided to just do 190 from covington to laffy.
Plenty of room all along that corridor for development. Like a shitload.

Lots of land for sale in Ethel. That's where I'd be if I didn't have young kids.
I always thought it was funny that south of Zachary, there’s a town called Fred, while north of Zachary, there’s a town called Ethel.
Fred and Ethel.

St Francisville as of now.
No fricking way they move out to East Feliciana or St Helena without sending kids to private schools like Silliman, which is part of why people don’t want to be in BR.
Past that, I figure Houston and Dallas are next. If people think BR and NOLA are shitholes, they generally aren’t going to Atlanta.

The Gardere issues typically stay in the Gardere area. The neighborhoods mentioned are quite safe. For now anyway.
This is correct. Aside from the rounds they randomly fire in the air for fun, Gardere doesn’t mess with Bluebonnet Extension. It’s shockingly low-crime.

People trying to find something better will leave Louisiana.
People looking for complacency while feeling a false sense of superiority will move to Lafayette.

Seems like anybody with enough sense to move would also have enough sense to realize that there's nothing stopping the next big area from suffering the same fate as all the rest.

I don’t know but I wish more safe areas were available. The limited safe areas is helping to drive up the cost of homes. I noticed over the weekend that home prices in some neighborhoods jumped from $220 sqft in 2021 to $320 sqft this year.

You do realize there are several homeless camps behind the levee in Addis and Brusly….

You do know or realize there are homeless camps in the Brusly/Addis area behind the levee?? Not many, but there are more transients in the area than one would think.

I’ve got a house sitting on 24 acres in East Feliciana I’m remodeling to sell. I hope it fetches a pretty penny. Folks are moving out that way and the price of land is climbing.
