With everybody complaining about what is going on in Gonzales, Praireville, Denham Springs, Juban, Zachary, and Central area due to crime and section 8, where will everybody move to in ten years when all the surrounding areas are on a downward trend?

The Burbank / Nicholson area where the big Harveston development will be going in over the next 10 years. Huge new subdivision going in now off of river rd. south of Lauberge

I think eventually people have to start moving west along 190 and/or north along 61 between Port Hudson and St Fran.

At one time I would have thought there could be a possibility of gentrification down Spanishtown Road (since that's all good grid layouts and mostly too high to flood), but all of the Section 8 developments going up in that area killed any chance of that.

If they ever do a legit southern loop, we'll see expansion along that route (wherever it goes) explode.

The LP isn't crimey, outside some petty drug use you can easily stay away from.

So I see everyone thinking flood plains will be the new it. Hopefully the incoming people realize that and avoid any area near the Mississippi River.

God's Country in St. Amant will be an economic hub within 5 years. Glad I live north of the St. Amant CBC and downtown area.

Edit to add: I'm in the St. Amant/Galvez/Prairieville area (where they all mesh together) and crime here is not a big problem at all honestly. Bunch of baws with guns around here but most of them are good guys with guns so for the most part, no issues.
