Uptown or Mid-City

If you're making great money and can swing it, WH district.

Central City, preferably MLK.

Do your part in cleansing the area through gentrification.

amazing the number of a-hole comments. My place in NOLA is in the Cotton Mill. Can walk most places for great food if you're not into drive thru, bars and live music.

Uptown would be where I'd choose. WHD and downtown have their own vibe that is different than uptown

There are some.

Also, look along Prytania. Nice high end vibe with some small condos and apts. That almost smack dab between Magazine and St Charles. If ya can't swing those prices there are some places in the lower garden district but you may or may it have a poor dig through your garbage can.
