Frick living in the bywater. Fun place to go grab a bite to eat but would not want to live there.

It's not really convenient to any fun things either. My house 15 minutes closer to anything than Lakeview. I'd rather spend my money on Old Metairie

I'm married and live Uptown and really enjoy it, but I'd also enjoy it here if I was single.

That being said I'd probably want to live in the Warehouse District or South Market District if I was single. Being able to walk to Saints games, Pels games, Wednesday at the Square, countless restaurants and bars, the grocery store, etc...would be too much to pass up.

I guess I don't get what people see in lakeview. It's very expensive for what it is.

Lakeview is great for families. It's safe and very walkable and close to the park. I don't see what it has to offer single people though

cotton mill is a great building and the rusty nail is awesome
I lived in the fiber mills way back when, I think it was the first of the converted apartment bldgs in that area and the neighborhood was nothing like it is now

if I was a single successful male in Nola anywhere in that area would be my first choice
there's so much more to do there then there was when I was there

As a single guy living in Lakeview, I agree. We spend a lot on Uber especially to Uptown. I would prefer to live Uptown but not sure what the OP is looking for.
