does the storm surge typically arrive mostly with the front of the eye? The lake has come up maybe a foot from noon until now....
not sure how that can happen in such a little amount of time...
TWC shows much of the lake as being in the 7-11 foot surge zone. Water is already up about 2.5 feet where I am....
wind won't be your concern at all assuming you're leaving early. The only way you could be in trouble is if we wake up and Nate is a cat 2 or something, which is HIGHLY unlikely. ...

damn...water is already up in the lake and surrounding areas. That track would have the east side pushing water directly into the lake. I guess we're actually fortunate that is coming more from the south rather than from the southeast....
