She can stay at my place in South Bend. It's a bit of a commute to anywhere in N.O. but I can keep her busy.

Tell her to keep that nonsense in her state or don’t come here.

Not welcome.

So truth is she under performed and got canned, and is reduced to the only offer she gad...some dump in the shittiest city in the south.
And she's so talented, she passed on possibilities in Florida or other luxurious spots, to take a sight unseen gig in the dumpster of new Orleans.

Yeah right.

Before Charleston she worked at hotels in Miami, she's bougie, mom is Jewish, multiple procedures done, all the things.

Sounds like she may enjoy the culture of Faubourg Marigny, with short commute to work.

Great choice. Easy walk to Magazine with terrific restaurants. Very safe with most areas employing private security patrols. Walk to Tips if you like music. Terrific oyster bar at Superior. Great new bar called Soon Enough that is perfect for her age/demographic.

Real estate prices are a little high for NOLA, but they will seem light if she’s coming from New York.

Does she have any Tulane connections? A number of northeastern greenies have second homes in that area, and they have a pretty vibrant social scene.

35, never married and no kids? She’ll fit right in with NOLA.

How long until she’s puffy from sodium and booze, sunburnt, and covered in shitty tats, crying at the end of the bar about never having kids?

This is a foul and raunchy thing to say, especially since I think one of them is his girlfriend, but I cannot stop laughing at it.

Nope. I don’t know who the other one is but she’s cute. I’ll allow the comment.

She’ll be living at the hotel for a bit until she gets an apt. Not planning on buying.

And yes, for whatever reason, she’s romanticized New Orleans in her head. I said “just make sure you visit so that you know what you’re getting into”. So much for that, which Is why I’m so in on this story as it unfolds

Sounds like she needs some cultural enrichment.

NOLA should give her ample supply.

There are some pretty great rentals near me Uptown. They are in the box. If she is working Mardi Gras, she will need to accommodate.

For God’s sake don’t let her buy anything in the quarter.
