Where do you baws buy your Wife/GF/Mistress gold earrings from?

I’m in the market for some gold earrings for women and believe I’ve come to the best place for advice.
Can you recommend a website? The ones I’ve visited seem to have a very large range of prices ($60 - $500+), but not much (if any) noticeable difference. I’ve also never heard of any of these brands before.
I am looking for something made out of gold, that is cost effective, but doesn’t say “I’m cheap”. Where do you baws shop for earrings like that?

The thousands I’ve spent over the years on bullshite jewelry doesn’t mean shite to my wife. It’s the damn hand bags that she can’t live without.

This is not a half bad idea. The benefit is she would never know the brand, so wouldn’t be able to do a google search to see exactly how much I spent. I could also claim I got it at an antique store. #antiquetiger
The downside is, how will I know the quality? Can you tell if it’s real gold or at least gold plated? What about how many karats or other types of stones?
I haven’t been to a pawn shop before and have never watched that show on TV. If I go this route, what do I need to be aware of so I don’t get ripped off?
I am also still considering the more traditional online route and am looking for more recommendations in this area.
