Ironically it was immediately prior to me pulling my quad.

I'm talking about for a distance of 40 yards or more. Honestly, it's probably been more than ten years for me, while playing ball with my kids.

Used to play coed softball year round until 2009-ish when I rolled my ankle (not during softball). it never seemed to heal right, and I quit playing.

Btw thanks. It wasn't until just now that I realized I haven't sprinted in over 10 years. fml

I'm 42. A few months ago I raced my son who is a freshman in the 100. I did bleachers for an hour before and still ended up pulling my hamstring. I was winning until about the 85 yard mark. Now I'm scared to run full speed.

I sprint as hard as I can everywhere I go. It saves a lot of time getting places, but people tend to look at me strangely.

I am a tad older but same results. I was at my kids soccer game and decided to go for a run before. there was no good place to run, but there was an open field behind the one she was playing on. So, I ran sprint up, jog backs for half hour. Still recovering from the arse pull. Old suck.

You know what they say:

I ain't as good as I once was, but I'm about 80% as good once as I ever was.
