I'm talking about for a distance of 40 yards or more. Honestly, it's probably been more than ten years for me, while playing ball with my kids.

At the sec championship fan zone. Ran the 40 in jeans after 3 tallboys. 5.50 flat!

Almost threw up after.

Are you an olympic athlete? I've never known anyone who could sprint full speed for 800m.

In October. I’m 41. Resulted in a pretty severe groin and arse muscle pull that I’m only now getting over. Still feel it when I jog or go on a long walk. It fricking sucked. Lesson learned.

Before that? Probably 15-20 years.

Last Wednesday. I typically do a mid week speed workout on the track.

You have to mix in some speed work if you ever want your overall pace to increase or your body will eventually settle into a comfort pace whether you’re running 5 miles or 26.2.

Ive done sprints the last three Saturdays in a row with my kids for the first times in at least 6 months. I workout with weights every weekday and randomly run so I figured they wouldnt be too bad. I still feel quick for 36 but I was so sore the next few days.

After my fist Saturday my groin area was sore for days. That area never gets sore so it made sense. Then after the second Saturday my calves got really sore for a couple days. I workout calves weekly but figured this was different. Then after this past Saturday my upper abs (almost my diaphragm) and upper quads got really sore (still sore today) which really makes no sense since I do front squats every other week. Either way, they are amazing and fun to do with the kids.

Ran the 40 at the CFP Championship fan fest. 5.3 in slacks and with a buzz

Hand timed so of course nowhere close to accurate, but better than most I saw while waiting in line.

Family football game over Christmas, many years ago. First play of the game I was at QB. Couldn't find anyone open, three guys rushed at 3 Mississippi, so I took off running like a 15 year old athlete.

Except l was a 35 year old non-athlete. Pulled both hamstrings, and went down like a sniper got me. That's when l knew I'd hit the brick wall.

I get to hear the story every Christmas.

A few years ago some friends invited me to play on their kickball team. I was just a tad out of shape and didn't think it was much of a big deal. Pulled a quad in the first inning running down a ball in right field.

Decided I needed to lose some weight and start doing athletic stuff again after that.

Did you kick the FG too? I hit a light fixture at the Peach Bowl fan fest. That has to at least be comparable to Uncle Rico throwing the ball over those mountains.
