This happened a lot when I was in high school. The girls would brag about it and pursue older guys. I remember this one girl was "dating" a 35 or 36 year old man. She was 15 or so. I thought it was really weird and creepy, but didn't realize it was illegal.
It was common then for guys in the 20s to hang around town and go after the high school girls. Small town girls, poor families, no dad (or dad who didn't care or interact with the family much), drug/alcohol abuse, teenage pregnancies, poor school performance - all of those were factors.

Yes, I had a class in college where the girl was already married by 18 to guy who was 27. She was friendly and quite stunning too. They had a house and she drove a nice car. they started dating when she was 16.

I graduated SVA in 85 and knew Lisa and Stephanie....they BOTH dated the VonErich twins or brothers. I remember them bringing a picture of themselves in bikinis lying on the hoods of the Corvettes or Camaros or whatever cars like that with the VonErichs, who were wearing their wrestling Speedos. Real klassy.

I don't recall knowing someone who dated older when I was in high school. However, I dated HS girls when I was the older of the pair. Surely won't be believed, but I gave a girl one of my Porsches as a graduation present. And when my future wife graduated from HS I was 35.

when i started pharmacy school, i was dating a girl that was a Sr. at Riverdale in NOLA....
she was only 2 years younger, but her birthday is later in the year, so she was behind in terms of school years.... it was kinda weird explaining it to my classmates, but yeah...
then we broke up, and i hooked up with the hot as frick Asian girl in my class, and 9 years and 2 kids later, here i am...

I knew a girl that was dating a 37 year old guy when she was a high school sophomore. Had to be weird for her parents to deal with. She was the type that liked to shock people. He was some rich guy. This was in the 70's.

I had friends who were in pharmacy at NLU in the 80s, and they had a bunch of Maylasian classmates.
Not sure what the draw was, but they were shipping them over at the time.

It was a pretty common phenomenon as recently as the '70's. Interesting how dramatically this has changed in just a generation or two.

We had a dude named Robert that was banging a teacher, they ended up married.
Also, the hottest chick in our class was dating a dude that was about 26-27 who had his own oyster boat. They ended up getting married and are still together 22 years later, she's still fine AF and he's still fishing oysters.
