Wondering if that will be a trend.
Yeah. That was horrifying. Turned to my wife and said, “nope.” She agreed.
To all those going around and downvoting every positive review here, you must live sad, depressing little lives where you eat and drink politics to the exclusion all else.

I’m sorry to break it to you, but the movie was epic. Truly.
I thought it was incredible. Really good. Still processing, but the last 20 minutes or so when Odysseus returns was amazing. Our theater cheered and clapped.

I think Beulah was totally behind it. She was betting against Beth and Rip on that Bull and she could have outbid them if she wanted to flex but stopped and let Beth/Rip think they got the upped hand.

Yeah, I’m sure Beulah has something to do with it. Why question though, is why didn’t Rip try or get information out of the cattle agent or auctioneer or whatever he was? They just torched his place and let him go. Seems like he could have told them something.
Rip let that cattle agent off easy. Why didn’t they get information out of him? It wasn’t just him doing all that. Who else was behind that with the bull?

Just got out. I did not care for it. Yes, there's a lot of cool action scenes but it has no story. There's just something missing. I found myself kind of bored. It's a bummer because I was hoping I'd really enjoy it.

SPOILERS:

SPOILERS: look away if you don’t want to see this ….

THEORY: Okay, one possible way this moves the story line is Mando completely destroying the entire Hutt criminal enterprise that has lasted thousands of years in the Outer Rim and was a government unto itself that rivaled the Empire from the underground inadvertently created the power vacuum that alllkwed the Empire to reorganized into the First Order. If that’s where their going with his, then the movie was VERY significant.
Movie was good.

(Using less words so you can understand better).
Just saw it. I’m an OG Star Wars fan from the 80s. I really liked it. It reminded me of the books that came out after ROTJ with Luke going on adventures dealing with bad guys after the fall of the Empire. It was well made and was a fun movie. I couldn’t find anything to hate about it and actually enjoyed it quite a bit.

Know your genre. Space Western, fun adventure. Watch it like you’re a 10 year old boy going on an adventure. Relax. Have fun. Enjoy.

Every Sigourney Weaver scene was terrible, but she isn’t in many scenes, so I could excuse it.

I hated the sequels, loved Andor and Rogue One, and think Empire is the best movie followed by Star Wars: ANH.

It was good. Doesn’t move the story along, it’s stand alone, but quite good.

I don't agree with the anti-Catholic part. Catholics are everywhere, so why should that be a factor? I think you had the right idea with the other stuff.

The anti-Catholic kart was in relation to the Baptist South. It’s also an old English-French rivalry. This goes back hundreds of years, Protestant-Catholic wars, English detesting Catholics, the English Civil War, etc. All that got brought into the U.S. and persisted with divisions in the South.
It’s not that much different than anywhere else in that regard. Look at Alabama.
LSU behaves exactly like every other school and Yankees and Southerners from the “Baptist South” find every reason to hate LSU. It’s anti-Catholic and anti-Cajun bias related to old regional biases and bigotries. Assumptions of “Waterboy.” The assumption of corruption is constant. When a good coach comes here, they all feel betrayed. They can’t fathom it. Why would anyone good want to go THERE with THOSE people?

It’s LSU against the world no matter what we do. Might as well ignore it.
Could have easily had 25 points - 2 missed dunks and a couple of 3s that were in and out. Really solid performance after a slow start (started 0-6).

Was there really not a thread on this, or did I miss it?

Pretty big news tonight in the “More Sports” world.

Celtics are legit.

Why did the buttonmen who jumped Frankie Five Angels say "Michael Corleone says hello" when the intent was to kill him?

I always thought they were trying to pin it on Michael for anyone who heard.

This reminds me of 1/9/12

Sheesh. Dominance.

Kiffin leaving for lsu rallied the donors to go all in… they want to prove their success wasn’t just because of Kiffin and protect their status. So they spent a bunch in the portal.

Best answer. Thanks. Makes sense.

Why did Ole Miss do well in the portal?

I was surprised to see them rank fairly high after Kiffin left. Obviously, he built it. But, what’s the draw otherwise?
