I tried snowboarding at 36. Didn’t go well.

40 for me. Injuries that wouldn’t faze a 20 year old are a lot harder to bounce back from now.

One night when I put my son into his crib and I woke him up because my knees popped as I was turning to walk away.

It was about 2010. They year the Saints played the Steelers on Halloween night. Had a Halloween party the night before, was mixing Vodka with Vitamin Water to try and stay somewhat hydrated. Spent half of the next day in the bathtub because that was the only place I could be. Took a few days to get back to normal after that one. Now when I wake up and stretch it sounds like I'm walking on bubble wrap, but I feel okay other than just not being in shape, but I'm working on that. It is harder to stay in shape than it used to be.

When did you realize you were getting older and not a spring chicken anymore?
1st nice Spring-like day that year, buddy and I grab a frisbee. I go to make a running leap, under right thigh, left handed catch ,,,
Frisbee whacks me mid thigh, come down on right foot into a gopher run which collapses and causes me to twist ankle, lower back, and thoracic vertebrae too.
"Let's go get more beer bro!"
... and that was the end of frisbee that day.

The first time you realize you have to “keep your head in the game” to avoid going half-hard is when it all falls apart.
IE: when you stop getting stress boners and start getting boner stress

At 44 I joined a softball team that was supposedly to be for men over 40. They couldn’t get enough over 40s so they got a bunch of young studs. I played third base and imagined myself diving for line drives and snagging all sorts of hard hits. The very first 2 pitches were line drives hit by huge young guys at the dirt right between my legs. I didn’t even have time to react, not even flinch. I was playing too close up, right next to the bag, but I don’t think that mattered. I backed up and wore a cup the remainder of the season

Early 40’s. Through back out when tying shoe. Also cramp during sex, but that could happen to anyone during a long session.

When I could tell the temperature outside based on the pain in my knees, and lower back

Here come all the 70 year olds saying they didn't lose any steam until 5 years ago.
I'm 30 this year. I can't play basketball for hours on end anymore without some slight joint pain. My back gets sore quicker. My hands don't work quite as well in the cold.
I'm not anywhere near disabled and I can still do everything I could at 24. I just can't do it quite as well. Also, some stuff I won't do because I see how stupid it was in the first place. There is nothing wrong with accepting the fact that you're not in your prime anymore.

In my mid 40s when I have to sit at the urinal and shake the snake for an extra five minutes so I do not dribble a small amount of piss in my pants. Oh and I now need reading glass. Can't tight 4 pound test without them.

All these weak backs = weak cores. Quit being lazy, men.
My knees crack now, and my hands get stiff/hurt when it's really cold.
Otherwise... all spring chicken here

Well I'm not using the term spring chicken yet, so maybe I'm not old.
