Also feel like we all called it Key-Ehv and spelled it Kiev prior to the war but now its Keeyve and spelt Kyiv.

Kiev was the Russian way to pronounce it, and everyone was familiar with that way since it was apart of the Soviet Union for so long. I imagine the change was a frick you to Russia after the war started.

I saw numerous places where the Turks are now Türkiye and not the known Turkey.

Pretty sure that's their pronunciation of their own country. When I was there in 2022 that's how they said they call themselves.

Until they start pronouncing the USA exactly how we pronounce it, spelling it exactly as we spell it.... it's Turkey. Geographic cuckery is just mindblowingly stupid

you're gonna find this hard to believe, but other languages don't use the same names and words for things that American English does.

other examples

Spain = Espana
Bazil = Brasil
Netherlands = Nederland
Italy = Italia

Isn’t Germany also Deutschland? Pretty sure it’s gonna still be Germany for the WC.

Why am I going to find that hard to believe, and what does this have to do with my post?

Same with no longer saying "the Ukraine" and how Pakistan is now pronounced Pahk-ee-stahn. Same with Iraq and Iran. Hawai'i used to just be Hawaii.
