Well it depends what you want out of your culture. Railway from KC to St. Louis was protested by Columbia. They didn't want to deal with even more criminals servicing the area so easily

Where are you finding good used trucks at half the price of new? When I was shopping earlier this year, certified pre-owned trucks were 80% new sticker price.
Nowhere. As usual, OTers talking out of their asses.
Someo also made the argument of business purchasers being different earlier which was a great point. But as you know some lifetime W-2 employee dropped in to argue about responsible spending.

It is ridiculous. Our F-150 was 28 or 29k. And it's cloth and a POS. Shittiest truck I've owned.
To get a decent Ford it will creep up to 60 thousand quickly. I hear that number and remember how $60,000 was what Magnum PI's Ferrari cost back then. That's STILL a lot of money.
I'll never spend that on a Ford.

I may have to get a "luxury" vehicle soon. Slow is right. In our line of work, perception is a pretty big deal.
Slow better trade in that Hyundai then

I said it earlier in this thread, but Ford, Dodge and GM are making piles of cash selling trucks. Piles of it, and that is after offering 15K off sticker.

They do look nice. It's just hard to take them seriously as a luxury brand after all those years of cheap crap

oh i know. i have been driving them since the revamp in 2006 and i missed all that hate as a kid, so i lack the bias. thy look nice and my demos don't have the same bias. all-around it's a legit nice car and was $35k new when i leased it
when the lease is up i am thinking i may try out Acura, but i'll likely just do whatever deal is best at the time. it's a year and a half away so i have time

I'm on my 3rd f250 and have no reason to switch
Posted on 5/22/17 at 3:54 pm to yellowfin
i lack the ability to drive a truck properly and am confident in admitting it

I have never owned a truck. I don't need to haul materials. Diesel prices will eventually climb again within the next 4-7 years.
I have a 2008 corolla with 265k miles. 85 percent hwy miles. Going to keep driving it hopefully for another 9 months. Love Toyota vehicles.

Ok but you're not leaving the lot with a truck for 20k less than msrp. They are making a shirt on of money but if you want the vehicle you have to pay it

I was looking for a new truck back in June of 2015, right when the new aluminum F150's came out. Of course there is only one brand of truck made in the world so really I only had 2 options. After applying rebates, I ended up buying a new F250 Lariot gaser for 46k (58k sticker) for less than the same truck in an F150 at 52k. Yeah its a 250 gaser but it can still pull the panties off a nun compared to the 150 and for less money to boot.

Did you try looking at a 2 year old used F150?

I am wanting to replace my yukon with a tahoe of same trim and can't get over the prices for a used one. Looking at 66k for a 2016. I paid 36 for the one I have now and it had 2100 miles on it in 2009.

I've got a 2010 f150 super crew I had picked up new for 26k. Was blown away at prices. If things do not change in 3 years I'll have to do some serious thinking aboutique what I want next

You can get a new XLT 4 door F150 for like 29 or 30. These 40k prices are for lariats. Prices are high because people pay for luxury and bc they "need" 4wd. It's not hard to understand

So, you bought a USED vehichl two years ago and now are shocked that brand new vehicles cost more? Guess you will be equally shocked to find that the same brand new house will cost more than a four year old house.Welcome to the real world, Peter Pan!
