Civil rights? The officer informed her that she was under arrest for failure to obey lawful orders. She continued to escalate. Saying she'll sign it later doesn't erase her previous actions. If you start letting people walk over police, it'll encourage more to do the same. The officer has 100% discretion in this situation. Maybe this woman shouldn't have driven around with a broken taillight for 6 months...

I really liked when he said the white bulb in the tail light could blind someone.
I back the blue...But when I heard this..SMDH..Well maybe if you are on acid and you are tailgating..Like really tailgating...I feel the same way when this I first this a long long time ago...The cop was a Barney Fife...and people should call him that..

And here is where you clearly made them relevant (I.e. brought them up).

When the previous actions amount to saying she won’t sign it.... it really can erase that, if your goal is to find best outcomes

Here is the simplest thing. Be a damn responsible adult and sign it the first time. It was not that hard.

It sucks that we allow stupid people to have a platform to post their dumbass stuff and then want to claim they were treated wrongly.

What a ridiculous cop. He should be ashamed of himself.

I'm somewhat conflicted about this one. The cop shouldn't get in trouble, that's for sure. As he did not break any rules. But I think there was some room to handle it better, there was small window after her initial tantrum to clear things up. But of course once she drove off, all bets were off.

I love when an occasional white person like this hasn’t been brought down to earth in a while gets a huge dose of humble pie

I believe you should always comply, because he has the gun and I follow the rules.
However, is blind obedience because another man has a badge and gun really the right mentality?

Disgusting. He should’ve deescalated when she said she’d sign the ticket. Immature, low IQ thug with a badge. No wonder our police forces are filled with domestic abusers. I can’t believe so many of y’all cheer on this third world, authoritarian crap.
The lady has been driving around with a busted arse vehicle for 6 months. Gets pulled over for a violation and rolls right into being a count when it’s time to have a consequence for her decision. She then breaks the law again by fleeing/evading.
Her poor decision got her tazed not the cop and that dude was way calmer than most in similar videos.
It’s called personal responsibility.

She thought she was owed a warning because she was truthful lmao. She had 6 months. Probably wouldn’t have replaced it for another year until this cop intervened.
Posted on 9/1/19 at 10:25 am to Parmen
She could have signed the ticket, got the truck fixed and brought proof to court. The judge likely would have dismissed the ticket. Her self-righteous got her arrested.
Posted on 9/1/19 at 10:37 am to Parmen
frick people who drive around with broken taillights.
Sign the tickets.
Comply or die.

She volunteered to be arrested. Nothing no to see here.

The signature isn't an admission of guilt it's to verify receipt of ticket.
