Really admire your debate style here. Not retarded or a liberal, just disagree with excessive force. Do you think complete obedience to law enforcement is a conservative or intellectual trait? How about when they ask you for your guns? Do you think these sorts of incidents increase public distrust of law enforcement? Do you think this officer’s action served any practical function for the community? In your view, is it conservative to beat an elderly woman for being uppity? Where are you from/what happened to you that you’re not disgusted by a fit man brutalizing a woman unnecessarily? Very telling that arguments here center on “ha,ha, ha naw, ole bitch deserved it for refusing” and not, “the officer was in fear for his safety”

Would you let go of the 'elderly' kick? She didn't look so elderly when she decided to lead the cop on a chase. The cop did his job properly. DON'T BREAK THE LAW. Not that hard to comprehend

Y'all are also overlooking the fact that after the cop took her to the ground she started kicking at him.
That's beyond just driving away from the scene.
He was fully in the right to tase her.

The amount of logical inconsistencies in this thread is mind-numbing. Also, she deserved the tazing.

Well if this board is any indication as a to how a jury would view the situation, I’m not too optimistic about your chances lol.

Really? My first post has more than half as many upvotes as downvotes. Eliminate jurors in law enforcement, and I’d say she’ll be pocketing a nifty settlement.

When I had to use it, I had an overly aggressive cop demanding I show him ID when no crime had been committed. I told him he wouldn’t be seeing my ID as he had no legal right to demand it. He went into dick-swinging mode, and I informed him was making up the law he was accusing us of breaking (walking a dog without visible pickup materials). I informed him I was also an attorney (quick flash of card to frustrate his effort to learn my identity). His partner then made him move on when he saw they were being filmed. I then called the station and let his supervisor know- apparently, this was not the officer’s first incident and his supervisor was very apologetic. Who knows how far he would’ve taken it otherwise.
