I like it. The 100k model is insane.
Also no one has ever died in a XC90.

Just get a minivan. If you’re buying this then you really just need a minivan. You’re not fooling anyone into thinking you’re a BASE jumping adrenaline junkie.

My first impression is that it is the most expensive vehicle that I had to have towed on multiple occasions. My second impression is that I’ll never own another one.

I used to sell these in Shreveport . Great all around ride. Safest vehicle on the road as well. Seats designed by Swedish orthopedist so very comfy seats

Engine sounds terrible and it doesn't handle well (few SUVs do) but other than that it's pretty nice and a reasonable value for what you get. Though, I would likely purchase an Audi Q7 instead for a couple thousand more if I were in the market or look for a really good deal on a tahoe/yukon.

Know someone that has one. Rode in it right when she got it. Very impressed with looks, interior, etc. We were looking for midsized SUV for my wife a few months later and considered it. Then realized it's pretty pricey. The starting MSRP is for the two row model, so base price for the 3 row is like 53k. At the same time we are looking, the person we know is cursing the thing because it's been in the shop like 8 times to the point they were mentioning lemon law. Saying it's the worst money they ever spent. So we decided if we had to spend that much, we'd take the Lexus GX or something else first, and took it off our list. Ended up getting a Infiniti which I admit is not as good looking, but the deal was hard to pass on.

Not too bad looking for a small suv.

Small? Thing's a beast. Just got one 2 months ago and it's been great. Turbo four pumps out 250 Hp which is plenty but you can step up to twin turbo and get 315.
Safest car on the road.

The idea of a daily driver with both a turbo and a supercharger bothers me.

The electronic steering is like driving on a video game. It's cool, but crazy strange.

Very nice looking. But most cars these days are nice looking.
I'd def buy that. Does Volvo still have any reliability issues though?

Been in the XC60, and it is a fine fricking automobile. Went test driving with the gf, and the Volvos were nicer and more well thought out than anything else (X3, Q5, RX, F-pace, GLC, Macan). Only the BMW was close

Pros:
Fantastic seats
I think it looks good for an SUV
Cons:
Overstressed engine
Will be expensive to maintain

Yep this is my issue. The previous model had a Yamaha sourced V-8, if they would've stuck with that then this would be my wife's next vehicle. But I ain't touching that twin charged 4 banger. If I was into leasing then I might take one on a short term lease but we tend to run our vehicles for quite a long time.

The wife has been driving one for over a year now. It has plenty of power. Has held up pretty well although a few minor electronic issues.
